Miracles do happen !

Miracles do happen!

Ever wondered what miracles are and if it can happen in your life? miracles are exceptional events attributed to God's blessings showered on us because it cannot be explained merely by logic or nature. Miracles do happen in everyone's life. Yes... It has happened in mine too... and I strongly believe it will happen to us all in future as well!

March 21, 2005 - It was the last day of my 12th standard board exams (Mathematics) and all was well. I had a good breakfast and started to school for my exams while my parents and sister wished me the best. My dad dropped me in school and I was having a chat with him on the way saying that day would be the last day of my school life and that I had grown up so fast. Time flies... 14 years of beautiful school life was getting over and I was about to step into the next phase of my life. As usual, I met my friends in school, we discussed a little bit of Math and we were all waiting for 1 PM when we can be totally free from serious study sessions (late night preparations/ early morning revisions... although I never stayed up late to study but a few of my friends do) for the next few months. Of course we had to prepare for our Engineering/ medical entrance examinations. We all had a prayer together with our teachers and as we wished each other good luck, we moved in to our exam halls. It was 10 AM and the exam began. I skimmed through the question paper and it was quite easy I would say, not so tough and I had prepared well aiming to score a centum. When I was fully concentrating in my exam, all of a sudden at around half past ten, I felt slightly dizzy and I started sweating to the level that it wet my answer sheet and I informed the invigilator about it. He immediately informed my school teachers about it and by then I was literally lying down on my desk almost unconscious and no energy to even walk out of the hall. My school teachers helped me walk out of the exam hall and gave me a glass of glucose and I was totally dizzy until around 12:15 PM when one of my teachers tried to alert me saying "It's 12:15 already and you have about 45 minutes left, do you want to write as much as you can .?.. and the chief invigilator is very strict that even one extra minute cannot be given although you are genuinely sick". At that point, I was all full of positive energy and all I thought was however less time I had I am going to do it. I requested that I will sit there on the stage and write and cannot go back to my desk as I had almost no energy to walk and they were empathetic enough to agree to it and they brought my paper and pen and i started to write.... Yes.... the first 30 minutes and the 45 minutes after recovering was all the time I spent on the exam....How did I, who was sick, suddenly get the energy to sit up and finish my paper in a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes when the actual duration of the exam was 3 hours? Without God's grace I couldn't have got the energy to sit up and complete it.. Without a good preparation I wouldn't have got the confidence to do it in a short time.... Without a good teacher (*), I wouldn't have been able to prepare well and be confident in the subject.... It's not merely my determination alone. It was all put together.... when the results were out a month later, I had scored 197/200.... I call this a miracle because it happened in less than half the time required to do it, because I got the will power even when sick. So there is no limiting factor if you have the will to do it! The more we believe in miracles,  the more number of times it happens...Get set go!.. Start believing right now! It's not a once in a life-time event!

(*) I had a brilliant maths teacher - Mr. Kasi Viswanathan who taught me maths the way maths has to be taught. Many teachers in school have inspired me but the way he teaches maths so passionately and confidently (he works for Indian Railways but never gave up his passion) really inspired me and made me think that I should always pursue my passion in life.
